Do you know how to survive a gun fight?

Here’s the situation: some people want your stuff, or they just plain out want to kill you. Whatever the cause of the escalation might be, all you’ve got is a gun lying on the ground next to you. What shooting techniques and tactics would you use and how would you survive a gun fight?

So first, you’ve picked up the gun, pulled out the magazine and checked how many rounds you’ve got spare. This is all while rounds are flying over your head and bouncing off things around you. But they’re not hitting you because you’ve already ducked behind cover to figure out your tactics right?

Let’s just say that if there were a group of people firing at me, my first thought would be to get out of there as quickly as possible, regroup with some gun-savvy would-be John Wick volunteers and come back. One big tip that might help, in a gunfight, 3 on 1 is better than 1 on 3. So work with those odds and round up some friends who would be worthy of a gun fight and are up to scratch with these 14 things to remember to survive a shootout.

1. Have yourself a merry little sidearm pistol

Weapon fires weapon stops. This is a thing they teach to soldiers in initial weapons training. They teach this because guns are not like a weapon in Call of Duty, in a real gun battle they stop. You could fire one shot and the weapon might not automatically reload because you have a chunky piece of metal 5.56 jacket jammed in your ejection port.

Now while any good shooter might pull out the magazine, cock the weapon and give the gun a right old nudge and shake just to free up the jam, you’re not going to do that. In an immediate jam, you are going to sling that weapon (everyone should have a good adjustable sling) and whip out your pistol to keep firing.

You might have seen John Wick make his way through a soiree of larger weapons before working his way down to his pistol range, that’s because when you’re in the heat of a shootout, using your next loaded weapon is quicker than fixing a jammed gun, or doing a magazine change.

That pistol is your merry little backup present when the first one wasn’t good enough. It is loaded and ready to dump out the 15-30 rounds you might be carrying in your glock magazine.

In this case, you’d probably use this secondary weapon to work your way through a pistol fight while you find cover and get your boomstick back into the game.

2. Know where your ejection port is

While we all love the John Wick films and other great shooting movies, those films aren’t always that accurate. Especially when it comes to bullet casings. Every weapon has an ejection port. Out of that comes the bit of bullet that never leaves the barrel of a gun. It’s called a casing and it is damn hot.

The first reason you should know where your ejection port is would be in the case above where your weapon jams up. Most of the time it’s going to be a bullet that hasn’t been struck properly and has not fed into the gun correctly, you will see this stuff up in the ejection port. It is about this time that if you are only carrying one gun, you should know how to fix a weapon jam pretty quick.

The second reason, and one quickly learned by shooting beginners, is that some weapons have ejection ports that can fire hot bullet casings onto your skin causing a nice little bullet tattoo to be burnt into your skin. Generally, the ejection port is on the right side of the weapon, so when your would-be volunteer buddies in the gun fight are on your left you are going to get sprayed with burning hot bullet casings.

What should you do about this? Suck it up. They’re on your side and you’ve got bullets coming at you. But if you’re like this lady with a bullet casing down the top, you’re probably going to be burning.

3. I shoot, you run

If you are not shooting you should be running. Tell your buddies in the gun fight the same thing. Try to synchronize it. If you are retreating, one person shoots while the other runs, repeat this until you are in your abandoned building, bunker hideout.

This works the other way, in the attack. If you have sized the enemy as being reasonable for your capacity and you decide to attack, shoot in their direction while your buddy runs. Let’s hope he is smart enough to figure out he should do the same.

The process of your buddy shooting while you run is called ‘covering’. This is why you hear that great term, covering fire.

This gunfighting technique also referred to as ‘fire and movement’ and if you’ve been in the military you’d cringe just hearing these words as that is a lot of the combat practice in the field which turns to elements in urban training.

When you are making those shots, sure, rounds placed near an enemy’s position is going to keep them pinned behind cover, but make sure you control your breathing, which in turn helps with your aim. The military uses a method called Box Breathing for this. Learn it and use it as it is a great way to de-stress and take control of any given situation.

4. Keep your eyes on three things at the same time

While you are ducking, diving, and firing well-aimed shoots in your gunfight survival, there are three other things (I know, it’s a lot) that you should be paying attention to: the guys shooting at you, your buddy, and possible cover. These three things are the only things you should be looking at. You should be watching where your enemy is, where you last saw them or where they sound like they are shooting from. You should be watching this because when your buddy is moving, this is where you are shooting.

You should be watching your buddy and listening out for his gun. If he is shooting, you move, if you don’t hear any shots from him, that probably means his weapon is jammed or he is just plain useless. In some cases that uselessness can also cause a jam – be warned.

On top of this, you should always be looking for the next place you are going to move to. If you are in a retreat, this is basically putting solid things behind you, if you are attacking, this is stuff in front of you. Always be looking for covering spots. Why? Because the next point is why.

5. I’m up, he sees me, I’m down

This is what you say when you run. As soon as you take your first step you should say to yourself: “I’m up, he sees me, I’m down”. This is enough time to move, and not allow your enemy to take a steady aim and kill you. If you run longer than this, anyone with a sense of aim can take a quick sighting and put some metal your way and possibly land a hit. So don’t let it happen.

When the phrase says ‘down’ this doesn’t just refer to dropping to the ground, it is whatever you deem a safe place to fire from. If it is a wall or over the front of a car, use it as cover and shoot while your buddy moves.

You can see how these guys from Polenar Tactical work in unison to provide covering fire for their buddy running. Eventually, this would get you close enough to the enemy to grenade them, or get closer to get your buddy in a flank.

This phrase is something that is regularly repeated in initial combat training for a lot of the world’s forces. It is taught for the reason which is to keep you alive. But this will fail you if you don’t adhere to the next part, which is once you are down, move for an extra few meters. Why? Next point.

6. Don’t be a rabbit

Ever seen a rabbit in the grass? It bends down to eat, pops its head back up and bends down again. You give your friend a nudge in the arm and say “check out two meters left of that tree, there’s a rabbit”. And before you know it, the rabbit has popped his little head up in the exact same spot. Boom, if you were the rabbit you would be dead. The same will happen in a real gun fight.

In a shootout, if you see someone running you are going to aim at their last seen place and wait until they pop out to shoot them. So with the principle mentioned before, once you leave the visibility of your enemy whether it be behind a car, wall… or whatever, move and crawl a few meters before popping up to shoot. Make sure that movement is lateral to the enemy. Think of it as getting out of the X.

In an urban environment, this can only work so well as you might be behind a car or a single-spaced object with very little crawl distance. Make do with what you can but remember the idea of the rabbit popping up in the same place.

7. Be aggressive and quick

Let’s think about some animals at the top of the food chain. All of the ones that I can think of are aggressive and quick in their attack and you should be too despite whether you are attacking or retreating. Why? When you are covering fire you only have a certain amount of bullets to do so (You are hoping that we picked up a gun with a full mag when we found it at the start).

Taking a gun fight slow and steady will result in getting shot. Bullets move fast and you need to as well. If you are ever unfortuante enough to find yourself in the midst of a real gun fight the number one rule is to be aggressive, confident and quick.

Part of being aggressive is also being on the offensive. When it comes to surviving a gun fight, when you maintain the offensive with your buddy (hopefully more than one) you are overwhelming your enemy with so much precise force that they cannot handle the pressure and start making mistakes and panic. This puts you in control and control is the key to winning.

8. Plan like it’s the last thing you ever do

Yes, it could be the last thing you ever do. Getting shot is no field trip and it can result in a massive loss of blood and death. So what are you going to do? Well, you should already have your answer for that. Plan, plan, plan.

It could be anything from attacking with your buddy up until you can run a flank, or it could be to sit and fire a few shots in the enemy’s direction to probe and find out what sort of guns they have (let’s hope for your sake they don’t have mounted heavy belt-fed weapons). Whatever you do, have a plan and a backup one if that fails.

When it comes to gun fights, there are a huge amount of tactics that can be employed, they all depend largely on the area where you are fighting, such as urban gun fights in buildings, apartments and tight streets, or in the wilderness in forests, jungles or wide open planes. All of these have their setbacks, exposure points, and weaknesses. The only way to win a fight is to think logically and exploit those weaknesses against the other team.

I recently wrote a post about a tactical way of thinking using situational awareness. The theory of the OODA loop was developed by a military tactician and is something you should use to diagnose, dissect and win your gun fight. The OODA loop is explained in-depth in the post on situational awareness but for an overview, it stands for:

• Observe your enemy
• Orientate how they are acting and what you can do to counter and win that action
• Make a Decision on the best course of action to take
• Carry out the Action.
• The loop then continues back into the observation phase.

9. Be fit for a gunfight

By this, we don’t mean you should start doing pushups in the middle of a two-way range. This is a preparatory thing and is a big part of prepping for when the sh-t hits the fan. Fitness is important in a gun fight for three main reasons:

• It keeps you confident with a level-head and tactical thinking mindset
• It gets you from point A to B quickly and efficiently
• It allows you to make a steady aim after just sprinting for your life

If you are not fit, get started by working with high-impact interval training.

10. Get creative when looking for cover

Cover isn’t just a place to hide, it’s also a place to shoot rounds from to try and land a hit on your enemy as well as to suppress the enemy for your buddy to gain some ground. Part of this involves the flexibility and creativity that many special forces soldiers use in their field office. Chances are your gun fight is going to be in an urban environment which means you are going to have vehicles, houses, fences, garden hedges, windows and anything else at your disposal. Whatever you have got, use it.

Navy SEAL Rich Graham teaches various methods like this at his Tactical Carbine course. While this video was intentionally about muzzle awareness from a concealed position, you can see how he uses the tray of a truck as a covered firing position.

Remember that whichever position you find to fire from, make sure you can build a solid firing position to aim, control your breath and control your weapon so that you can make more accurate shots. These are simple military marksmanship principles and greatly improve your aim ability to end a firefight with a well-placed shot when coupled with breathing exercises taught to soldiers. For those that find they need to take time to line a good shot on the range, there are courses developed online such as the Spec Ops Shooting Course that teaches you how to shoot faster while still maintaining the same accuracy. When it comes down to it, shooting quick, and accurate is the most important shooting technique you can ever master.

11. Bring a knife to a gun fight

You have probably heard something along the lines of “don’t bring a knife to a gunfight”, but that is completely wrong. A knife is a piece of equipment every tactical gun fighter should have on their kit for a number of reasons. One of them is that a knife something you can grab in close combat when everything else fails.

Remember how we said you should have a merry little sidearm? What if you have spent all of that ammunition getting to the enemy and it comes down to a test of strength between the two of you? No, that’s not going to happen. You’ve got a fixed-blade knife ready to use in combat.

What type of knife should you be using? That’s up to you, but as far as cool gear goes, you can’t go past the legendary US Marine Ka-Bar knife.

12. If you are entering a gunfight in a car, shoot, then get out and shoot some more

Cars are bullet magnets, and you are pretty well exposed if you are sitting in it (unless of course, you are in the US President’s Beast), so you are going to need to get out of that thing quickly. But while you are getting out, you could be sprayed with metal.

To leave a car in a gun fight (assuming it has stopped) you should:

1. Fire some shots at whoever is shooting at you (this will divert their attention from shooting you to ducking)
2. Open the door and hold it open with your foot (some doors have a kickback)
3. Lead with your gun out the door aiming at the enemy and fire shots while leaving the car
4. Position yourself so that the vehicle is in between yourself and the enemy

13. Don’t forget your chest rig

Okay, so if you are in a gun fight, chances are you were probably looking for one and did not run away at the first sign of a shot. This means you are a hardened individual ready to eat lead, shoot with precision, advance towards an enemy and make them quiver with fear from your dominant fighting skills.

All of this means you probably already have something like a Condor Recon Chest Rig and the sweet sidearm carrier the Condor Tornado Tactical Leg Holster. You are a dangerous gunfighter by the looks of it. And with this gear you can carry more magazines, have the smaller working space between the quick draw of your magazines to the loading port of your rifle and handgun and you can also fasten the previously mentioned US Marine Ka-Bar knife to the molle on the rig.

If you are are anything of a military buff, you have probably heard of the film Lone Survivor, the film adaptation of the amazing story of war hero Marcus Luttrel. The film’s immensely real adaptation of military tactics, weapons drills, and equipment was very real. In saying that, the specialist Rhodesian Recon Vest (RRV) chest rig the character wore in that film is also a very popular option for many military professionals and security workers.

14. Don’t get in one, but if you have to, win.

Remember how we mentioned the OODA loop in Number 8? Well if you can see an opportunity to de-escalate an issue then take it. Peace is a much better approach for all parties than exchanging fast and hot bullets.

If there is a peaceful option to take, then take it. But if there isn’t then god speed.

In writing this article, I also encourage anyone who is interested in weapons, in general, to promote gun safety to anyone you know who is about to touch a weapon otherwise you might end up being injured by one of these unsafe people. While this post might sound light, guns are no joke and are meant to be taken very serious when working with and around them.

“(W)e have a horrifying avalanche of (indisputable) evidence (based on science to show) that these damned (jabs) are killing and maiming people – all for a disease which is proved to be no more dangerous than the annual flu.”

What I call seasonal flu/influenza renamed, Coleman added:

What’s going on “is (state-sponsored) global genocide.”

“How much longer are people going to be silent?”

“How many must die?”

“How many must be crippled” by experimental DNA-altering jabs?

Indisputable evidence shows that they risk contraction of most imaginable form of disease and disability — while providing no health protection as falsely claimed.

“It was obvious (long ago that mass-jabbing for flu/covid) would kill and injure millions,” Coleman stressed.

Pushing them and all else flu/covid related — notably by Dems and their MSM press agents — constitute a major Nuremberg Code breach.

It’s unequivocal stating that “voluntary consent…is absolutely essential” on all things health related, nothing mandated.

And “(n)o experiment should be conducted where there is an a priori reason to believe that death or disabling injury will occur.”

And “experiment(s) (when) conducted…should…avoid all unnecessary physical and mental suffering and injury.”

Yet CDC and European Medicines Agency data show over 7 million injuries and deaths since mass-jabbing began — reported figures a small fraction of the real human toll.

There’s no ambiguity that heavily promoted and/or mandated kill shots constitute a major Nuremberg Code breach.

In the US, Dems are far and away  the main offenders.

Weeks earlier, researcher Steve Kirsch stressed the following based on indisputable scientific evidence, saying:

“The ‘safe and effective’ narrative is falling apart.”

Deaths and life-altering injuries from kill shots are “too massive to keep hiding (and) explaining away.”

“How can heart disease explode in kids only” after getting jabbed?

“Embalmers are seeing blood clots in over 50% of patients that they’ve never seen in their careers.”

“(D)eaths from stroke and other unusual causes in YOUNG people are through the roof.”

Jabbed children are “having seizures.”

“(B)irth rates are dropping (worldwide) and there are more stillbirths.”

“Young people (are dying) in their sleep.”

So are large numbers of highly conditioned athletes while or after competing on the field of play.

“Pilots are having events at unprecedented rates, but airlines (aren’t) screen(ing) (them) for cardiac issues.”

“Young healthy (people) are having medical problems at unprecedented rates.”

Medical professionals-turned whistleblowers are speaking openly about health destruction from kill shots — at the risk of their careers being terminated for the offense of truth-telling compliance with  Nuremberg Principles and the Hippocratic Oath of doing no harm.

It’s scientifically clear that flu/covid jabs are unsafe at any dose.

That multiple jabs significantly risk irreparable harm to health.

That MSM continue betraying the public welfare by heavily promoting what should be banned.

The NYT is one of the leading offenders with rubbish like the following, saying:

Garden variety flu renamed covid killed “nearly 15 million people (sic).”

A raging pandemic of the jabbed exists — not the other way around.

Staying unjabbed is crucial to protect what’s too precious to lose.

And this Times rubbish:

The Pharma-controlled FDA “authorized (a) redesign” of kill shots for more scariant than variant omicron — what’s crucial to shun with protecting health in mind.

All flu/covid strains are virtually identical, differences among them too minor to matter.

Instead of explaining what’s important for everyone to know — notably about shunning health-destroying jabs — the Times and other MSM push them in cahoots with genocide-supporting Dem dark forces.

Along with heavily pushing health-destroying kill shots with unparalleled depopulation in mind, the Biden regime, congressional Dems and likeminded Republicans risk war on Russia over Ukraine and on China over Taiwan — with nukes if things are pushed too far.

Never before in my lifetime was I more fearful of what may lie ahead than now — with criminals empowered in Washington, other Western capitals and Tel Aviv.

Two devastating global wars taught nations involved nothing.

Compared to the power of today’s super-weapons, ones used in WW I and II were toys by comparison.

If global war 3.0 occurs, all bets are off.

During the Great Depression, women made up 25% of the work force, but their jobs were more unstable, temporary or seasonal then men, and the unemployment rate was much greater. There was also a decided bias and cultural view that “women didn’t work” and in fact many who were employed full time often called themselves “homemakers.” Neither men in the workforce, the unions, nor any branch of government were ready to accept the reality of working women, and this bias caused females intense hardship during the Great Depression.

The 1930’s was particularly hard on single, divorced or widowed women, but it was harder still on women who weren’t White. Women of color had to overcome both sexual and racial stereotyping. Black women in the North suffered an astounding 42.9% unemployment, while 23.2%. of White women were without work according to the 1937 census. In the South, both Black and White women were equally unemployed at 26%. In contrast, the unemployment rate for Black and White men in the North (38.9%/18.1%) and South (18%/16% respectively) were also lower than female counterparts.

The financial situation in Harlem was bleak even before the Great Depression. But afterward, the emerging Black working class in the North was decimated by wholesale layoffs of Black industrial workers. To be Black and a woman alone, made keeping a job or finding another one nearly impossible. The racial work hierarchy replaced Black women in waitressing or domestic work, with White women, now desperate for work, and willing to take steep wage cuts.

Survival Entrepreneurs
At the start of the Depression, while one study found that homeless women were most likely factory and service workers, domestics, garment workers, waitresses and beauticians; another suggested that the beauty industry was a major source of income for Black women. These women, later known as “survivalist entrepreneurs,” became self-employed in response to a desperate need to find an independent means of livelihood.”

Replaced by White women in more traditional domestic work as cooks, maids, nurses, and laundresses, even skilled and educated Black women were so hopeless, ”that they actually offered their services at the so-called ‘slave markets’-street corners where Negro women congregated to await White housewives who came daily to take their pick and bid wages down” (Boyd, 2000 citing Drake and Cayton, 1945/1962:246). Moreover, the home domestic service was very difficult, if not impossible, to coordinate with family responsibilities, as the domestic servant was usually on call ”around the clock” and was subject to the ”arbitrary power of individual employers.”

Inn Keepers and Hairdressers
Two occupations were sought out by Black women, in order to address both the need for income (or barter items) and their domestic responsibilities in northern cities during the Great Depression: (1) boarding house and lodging house keeping; and (2) hairdressing and beauty culture.

During the “Great Migration” of 1915-1930, thousands of Blacks from the South, mostly young, single men, streamed into Northern cities, looking for places to stay temporarily while they searched for housing and jobs. Housing these migrants created opportunities for Black working-class women,-now unemployed-to pay their rent.

According to one estimate, ”at least one-third” of Black families in the urban North had lodgers or boarders during the Great Migration (Thomas, 1992:93, citing Henri, 1976). The need was so great, multiple boarders were housed, leading one survey of northern Black families to report that ”seventy-five percent of the Negro homes have so many lodgers that they are really hotels.”

Women were usually at the center of these webs of family and community networks within the Black community:

“They ”undertook the greatest part of the burden” of helping the newcomers find interim housing. Women played ”connective and leadership roles” in northern Black communities, not only because it was considered traditional “woman’s work,” but also because taking in boarders and lodgers helped Black women combine housework with an informal, income-producing activity (Grossman, 1989:133). In addition, boarding and lodging house keeping was often combined with other types of self-employment. Some of the Black women who kept boarders and lodgers also earned money by making artificial flowers and lamp shades at home.” (Boyd, 2000)

In addition from 1890 to 1940, ”barbers and hairdressers” were the largest segments of the Black business population, together comprising about one third of this population in 1940 (Boyd, 2000 citing Oak, 1949:48).

“Blacks tended to gravitate into these occupations because “White barbers, hairdressers, and beauticians were unwilling or unable to style the hair of Blacks or to provide the hair preparations and cosmetics used by them. Thus, Black barbers, hairdressers, and beauticians had a ”protected consumer market” based on Whites’ desires for social distance from Blacks and on the special demands of Black consumers. Accordingly, these Black entrepreneurs were sheltered from outside competitors and could monopolize the trades of beauty culture and hairdressing within their own communities.

Black women who were seeking jobs believed that one’s appearance was a crucial factor in finding employment. Black self-help organizations in northern cities, such as the Urban League and the National Council of Negro Women, stressed the importance of good grooming to the newly arrived Black women from the South, advising them to have neat hair and clean nails when searching for work. Above all, the women were told avoid wearing ”head rags” and ”dust caps” in public (Boyd, 2000 citing Drake and Cayton, 1945/1962:247, 301; Grossman, 1989:150-151).

These warnings were particularly relevant to those who were looking for secretarial or white-collar jobs, for Black women needed straight hair and light skin to have any chance of obtaining such positions. Despite the hard times, beauty parlors and barber shops were the most numerous and viable Black-owned enterprises in Black communities (e.g., Boyd, 2000 citing Drake and Cayton, 1945/1962:450-451).

Black women entrepreneurs in the urban North also opened stores and restaurants, with modest savings ”as a means of securing a living” (Boyd, 2000 citing Frazier, 1949:405). Called ”depression businesses,” these marginal enterprises were often classified as proprietorships, even though they tended to operate out of ”houses, basements, and old buildings” (Boyd, 2000 citing Drake and Cayton, 1945/1962:454).

“Food stores and eating and drinking places were the most common of these businesses, because, if they failed, their owners could still live off their stocks.”

“Protestant Whites Only”
These businesses were a necessity for Black women, as the preference for hiring Whites climbed steeply during the Depression. In the Philadelphia Public Employment Office in 1932 & 1933, 68% of job orders for women specified “Whites Only.” In New York City, Black women were forced to go to separate unemployment offices in Harlem to seek work. Black churches and church-related institutions, a traditional source of help to the Black community, were overwhelmed by the demand, during the 1930’s. Municipal shelters, required to “accept everyone,” still reported that Catholics and African American women were “particularly hard to place.”

No one knows the numbers of Black women left homeless in the early thirty’s, but it was no doubt substantial, and invisible to the mostly white investigators. Instead, the media chose to focus on, and publicize the plight of White, homeless, middle-class “white collar” workers, as, by 1931 and 1932, unemployment spread to this middle-class. White-collar and college-educated women, usually accustomed “to regular employment and stable domicile,” became the “New Poor.” We don’t know the homeless rates for these women, beyond an educated guess, but of all the homeless in urban centers, 10% were suggested to be women. We do know, however, that the demand for “female beds” in shelters climbed from a bit over 3,000 in 1920 to 56,808 by 1932 in one city and in another, from 1929 -1930, demand rose 270%.

“Having an Address is a Luxury Now…”
Even these beds, however, were the last stop on the path towards homelessness and were designed for “habitually destitute” women, and avoided at all cost by those who were homeless for the first time. Some number ended up in shelters, but even more were not registered with any agency. Resources were few. Emergency home relief was restricted to families with dependent children until 1934. “Having an address is a luxury just now” an unemployed college woman told a social worker in 1932.

These newly destitute urban women were the shocked and dazed who drifted from one unemployment office to the next, resting in Grand Central or Pennsylvania station, and who rode the subway all night (the “five cent room”), or slept in the park, and who ate in penny kitchens. Slow to seek assistance, and fearful and ashamed to ask for charity, these women were often on the verge of starvation before they sought help. They were, according to one report, often the “saddest and most difficult to help.” These women “starved slowly in furnished rooms. They sold their furniture, their clothes, and then their bodies.”

The Emancipated Woman and Gender Myths
If cultural myths were that women “didn’t work,” then those that did were invisible. Their political voice was mute. Gender role demanded that women remain “someone’s poor relation,” who returned back to the rural homestead during times of trouble, to help out around the home, and were given shelter. These idyllic nurturing, pre-industrial mythical family homes were large enough to accommodate everyone. The new reality was much bleaker. Urban apartments, no bigger than two or three rooms, required “maiden aunts” or “single cousins” to “shift for themselves.” What remained of the family was often a strained, overburdened, over-crowded household that often contained severe domestic troubles of its own.

In addition, few, other than African Americans, were with the rural roots to return to. And this assumed that a woman once emancipated and tasting past success would remain “malleable.” The female role was an out-of-date myth, but was nonetheless a potent one. The “new woman” of the roaring twenties was now left without a social face during the Great Depression. Without a home–the quintessential element of womanhood–she was, paradoxically, ignored and invisible.

In reality, more than half of these employed women had never married, while others were divorced, deserted, separated or claimed to be widowed. We don’t know how many were lesbian women. Some had dependent parents and siblings who relied on them for support. Fewer had children who were living with extended family. Women’s wages were historically low for most female professions, and allowed little capacity for substantial “emergency” savings, but most of these women were financially independent. In Milwaukee, for example, 60% of those seeking help had been self-supporting in 1929. In New York, this figure was 85%. Their available work was often the most volatile and at risk. Some had been unemployed for months, while others for a year or more. With savings and insurance gone, they had tapped out their informal social networks. One social worker, in late 1931, testified to a Senate committee that “neighborliness has been stretched not only beyond its capacity but beyond human endurance.”

Older women were often discriminated against because of their age, and their long history of living outside of traditional family systems. When work was available, it often specified, as did one job in Philadelphia, a demand for “white stenographers and clerks, under (age) 25.”

The Invisible Woman
The Great Depression’s effect on women, then, as it is now, was invisible to the eye. The tangible evidence of breadlines, Hoovervilles, and men selling apples on street corners, did not contain images of urban women. Unemployment, hunger and homelessness was considered a “man’s problem” and the distress and despair was measured in that way. In photographic images, and news reports, destitute urban women were overlooked or not apparent. It was considered unseemly to be a homeless woman, and they were often hidden from public view, ushered in through back door entrances, and fed in private.

Partly, the problem lay in expectations. While homelessness in men had swelled periodically during periods of economic crisis, since the depression of the 1890’s onward, large numbers of homeless women “on their own” were a new phenomenon. Public officials were unprepared: Without children, they were, early on, excluded from emergency shelters. One building with a capacity of 155 beds and six cribs, lodged over 56,000 “beds” during the third year of the depression. Still, these figures do not take account the number of women turned away, because they weren’t White or Protestant.

As the Great Depression wore on, wanting only a way to make money, these women were excluded from “New Deal” work programs set up to help the unemployed. Men were seen as “breadwinners,” holding greater claim to economic resources. While outreach and charitable agencies finally did emerge, they were often inadequate to meet the demand.

Whereas black women had particular hard times participating in the mainstream economy during the Great Depression, they did have some opportunity to find alternative employment within their own communities, because of unique migration patterns that had occurred during that period. White women, in contrast, had a keyhole opportunity, if they were young and of considerable skills, although their skin color alone offered them greater access to whatever traditional employment was still available.

The rejection of traditional female roles, and the desire for emancipation, however, put these women at profound risk once the economy collapsed. In any case, single women, with both black and white skin, fared worse and were invisible sufferers.

As we enter the Second Great Depression, who will be the new “invisible homeless” and will women, as a group, fare better this time?

Well, you and I are not privy to the homeland security intelligence, but even when there is an investigation of what is going on in that regard with our federal government all of us taxpayers and voters seem to get is the runaround. The stories usually get deeper and more complex, with so much interwoven misdirection that eventually it becomes impossible to know much of anything. The worst part about all this is we are to trust our government, trust these investigations, and allow them to sweep all their dirty laundry back under the carpet.

Some would say that if you don’t trust the federal government, that you are a conspiracy theorist of some type, that you aren’t a good citizen, or that perhaps you should be on a watch list. To this I say; bull plucky because even our founding fathers warned us to not trust the government, not just the government they were forming, but any government anywhere on this planet which involved humans, which so far is all the governments that exist.

Am I saying that citizens should use the old CIA motif; “Trust No One” when it comes to our government? Well, what I am saying is that we’ve been getting the runaround on so many things that we’d be fools to trust anything that they say, or anything any politician says sitting up at a podium trying to explain what happened and why. Obviously, they don’t want to tip off the bad guys, but they inadvertently end up treating citizens as if we were the bad guys, just for asking.

Since the evildoers and bad guys already know what happened and because they have infiltrated our government, it turns out that the citizens are the only people who are still dark, and we must be kept there for a reason. Okay, just so you know I’m not speaking in tongues, or haven’t gone off my rocker, perhaps I should give you a real life example. Okay so, certainly.

The was an interesting piece in Government Executive Online News on September 20, 2012 titled; “Report clears attorney general, cites 14 others in Fast and Furious operation,” by Eric Katz. Okay, just by the titled you can understand the gist of the story right.

Now then, granted, the concept of gun-tracking makes sense, but if the authorities are incompetent, then remind me why they need my taxpayer’s money, or why we should trust them to protect the American People – and if the government cannot protect us, it simply isn’t needed at the Federal Level – seriously, think about it.

If the government wanted to use the weapons tracking to help find the drug dealers, perhaps, that is a strategy which could potentially work. However, if their technology wasn’t good enough, or if they didn’t know what they were doing, then they should have never attempted it. The other day, I was talking with a wildlife expert and they said they often tagged wild animals, and released them. She indicated that often these wild animals would fall off the radar, and their GPS tracking units wouldn’t work anymore.

If we can’t even get our technology to track animals, how are we supposed to track the bad guys who are often smarter than the good guys, and they have a lot more money at their disposal? It’s a rhetorical question, you don’t have to answer. I just hope you will please consider all this and think on it.

Gun Control is a favorite tactic for many politicians on the left. It allows them to shift the blame from the person, whose worldviews and political party often aligns with theirs, to a simple tool they can ban. With an all Republican everything, you’d think we wouldn’t have to worry, but that’s far from true. These people seemingly always find a way to infiltrate politics and attempt to strip us of our God-given rights. So what do we do? How do we fight back if gun control legislation is proposed or passed?

#1. Learn How To Make Your Own

California is the beacon of cruddy gun control laws in the United States. They’ve gone above and beyond to reclassify your standard semi-automatic rifle into what they call an assault rifle. What we’ve seen is people and companies outsmarting the legislature at every turn. One of the most famous means was building your own gun. Specifically AR 15s. AR 15s are always on the chopping block, but even California couldn’t stop the signal.

With the advent of 80% lowers Californians were able to again build their own rifles within the law. The AR 15 is hardly the only weapon you can build. In fact, an enterprising patriot build can manufacture their own semi-auto Sten gun, Glocks, MAC 10/11s, AK rifles and more. The main issue is going to be acquiring the skills and tools needed to make these weapons. It takes a little mechanical skill and a lot of different tools.

It would be wise to start learning the insides and outsides of guns now. Learn to build them, acquire the tools, and fire up the Youtube machine. Here you’ll find as hard as they try they can’t stop the signal. You can build your own with a little practice, and it’s perfectly legal to do so. You aren’t just building guns, you are learning valuable skills regarding the construction and design of firearms that could be invaluable if things got really bad.

#2. Recognize the Gun Ban Matrix

One fact we’ve seen over and over again with anti-gunners is that they know absolutely nothing about guns. If the power these people had wasn’t so terrifying it would be hilarious. Every time they open their mouths about guns they say something incredibly stupid. They simply target guns that look scary and that’s it. That’s why the gun ban matrix exists. The gun ban matrix is a list of features and guns unlikely to be banned because anti-gunners are idiots and don’t understand firearms.

These are the guns you should consider investing in should sweeping legislation occur. In case the situations getting drastic and confiscation begins things may move too fast for people to react. In that event a neutered gun is better than no gun.

The first guns to go are going to be the traditional targets for anti-gunners, the AK 47s, the AR 15s, the Tavors, and the usual suspects. They may be banned by name, or by the features they share. A good alternative to these semi-auto rifles is the Ruger Mini 14 and Mini 30 series. They can be purchased in not so scary configurations.

Past the Mini 14 and Mini 30, there is the fixed magazine SKS rifle. It’s often left off ban lists, and it’s affordable and common. It’s limited to ten rounds, but with stripper clips, you can reload quite fast with practice.

Past this level we get into manually operated firearms, this includes pump-action shotguns, and lever and bolt action rifles. A good lever action rifle is a rapid firing gun and in the right caliber can hold up to 14 rounds. These guns are highly unlikely to be banned without a full constitutional amendment.

#3. Don’t Give A Single Inch

With the recent Las Vegas shooting there has been an increased interest in banning a firearm accessory known as a bump fire stock. These accessories are rather dumb and useless, and in no way did it make the shooter more lethal. Regardless of how dumb and useless they are there is no reason the firearms community should let them be banned without a fight. With the NRA even saying the ATF should reevaluate bump fire stocks.

This is how gun control starts, with tiny little cuts. We let them take one dumb accessory and next time they’ll push for something else, and they’ll keep pushing. Give them nothing, not a single inch. As gun rights advocates we have to defend what we have and go on the offensive. Fight back and take our God Given rights back.

#4. Push Back and Push Back Hard

If legislation gets passed regarding gun control, and I mean any legislation at all, we have to push back. The vast majority of gun owners are law abiding, tax paying, job having citizens who want nothing more than to live in peace. We all know actual gun control will do absolutely nothing to strip criminals of firearms, just good people who already obey the law.

If gun control happens as law abiding gun owners we have to flood the legislator’s offices with our demands. We have to protest, we have to write letters, we need to march on the capitals. In 2012 the gun community did an amazing job of coming together to resist any form of gun control. We need that same response to every law that passes, heck we need that reaction every gun control law that is even proposed.

We need to push at the local, state and federal level. Work every angle possible. We have to keep supporting companies that agree with our God-given rights, we have to join gun rights organizations of every kind. We literally have to put our money where our mouth is.

#5. Focus on the Small Politics as Much as the Large

It’s easy to forget the importance of local politics when it comes to federal gun control. Local and state politics can make all the difference. We saw Sheriff’s in states across the union step forward and say they would refuse to enforce federal gun control laws in their counties. We saw states and municipalities adopt laws that would act to nullify federal gun control laws.

If we can’t toss the anti-freedom and anti-gun bastards out of federal offices we can at least elect the right people at the local and state level to ensure the laws are useless.

Resist

As American citizens, we owe it to future generations to resist. Resist with every fiber we have. Resist gun control measures with everything we can. We need to prepare for the worst and always ready to resist.

The predetermined outcome of every aspect of the political system is the backbone of tyranny, in that fooling, frightening, and dividing the masses is the single best way to control them. Everything that happens in the political sphere is pre-planned and manipulative, regardless of which ‘side’ has currently been purposely selected and placed in power. There is, and never has been, any legitimate difference in politicians or political parties as a whole, and the left versus right paradigm is but a ruse, as both (all) sides work together to achieve the very same end result; which is one based only on money, power, and control.

Actually, the party system is the worst of all political systems in my view, because it is the most dishonest. In a monarchy, one ruling king with his units of enforcement, claims sole power over all. In a dictatorship, one ruler does virtually the same thing, but uses a political system as a cover, even if he takes power by force. In a pure and open oligarchy, the rule is by the few, but it is still evident that it is based on force and control. In all these situations, it is obvious that the people are ruled, and not free. But in any democratic or socialist society, based on the scam of feigned participation (voting) by the common peasant class, the nefarious deceit is concealed behind a curtain of trickery and evil. The essence of all democratic societies is deception, and at best, it is unconditionally dishonest.

The origin and root of the word “democracy,” is from the Greek from around 500 BCE. The word entered English around the 1570s, from the Middle French démocratie, but it originally comes, via Latin, from the ancient Greek demokratia, which literally means “rule” (kratos) by the “people” (demos). It is direct democracy, or a participant government where citizens who wish to have a say in government can participate in it. In this country, we are cursed with what is falsely referred to as a “representative republic,” which is simply a ‘representative’ democracy by proxy, where a small group is supposedly tasked with representing the entirety of society. It is based on the scam of ‘allowing’ for a voting process, where one or another can ‘legally’ rule over you. This is a most dishonest system; in that it is presented as a scheme where each and every citizen supposedly has the ability to participate in the governing process due to having one vote in hundreds of millions, in order to decide their political fate in a system based on authoritarian rule. In any system such as this, the outcome is always the same; a master and slave society is created. This idea is so ludicrous, and is obviously fraudulent in nature, as it is purposely meant to fool the sheep into believing that they have power over those they voluntarily allow to rule over them. Nothing could be more ridiculous or fraught with such exploitive deception as this thinking. 

Most in this country believe that democracy coincides with freedom, but they simply do not understand the concept. Those staunch ‘constitutionalists’ on the other hand; those who rely on the idea of a so-called ‘representative republic’ as liberator, never understand that there is little or no difference between this form of deceit and a direct democracy. They also believe that they are free and have rights due to a worthless piece of parchment created, adopted, and implemented by politicians and colluding charlatans. That is an impossible assumption to make, as has obviously been proven over and over again. They are in fact the most deluded of all in my opinion, because they have been duped into believing that there is a real difference in their position. This is due to long-term brainwashing, without any reliance on truth, reality, and the inevitable outcome that is forever present in this type of tyrannical rule. All is based on propaganda and lies, without benefit of intelligent judgement, or any recognition of the fact that the agendas of governments, all governments, are always for the expansion of power and control; never for the benefit of the people.

The party and governing system are a complete fraud, so voting is just a plot to fool the public into believing that they are in control and have a say. They don’t. Voting is only allowed because it can never bring about any relief from tyranny; it can only perpetuate it. There are no political saviors, only political monsters, so each time another president is selected, the indoctrination and division continue, allowing for more continued destruction of liberty.

Republicans and Democrats, (most recently, Trump and Biden) while slightly different at the margins, are in essence nearly identical. This is not unique to these two political whores, but is forever present, regardless who is in office. Try to consider the paths taken, and the outcomes of all that has happened throughout history, and is still happening today; all thought to be guided by this duplicitous and intimately connected system of governance. Always remember, that the entire government, regardless of any claimed party, is but one and the same beast. It is the controlled agent of the undeniable power; the lackey, so to speak, of the bankers, the large corporate system, the billionaires, the privileged ‘aristocracy,’ and the hidden oligarchs, behind the plot to control the entire planet by technocratic means. Remember also, that in order for this heinous plan to come to fruition, all property, all food and energy, all natural resources, and all of humanity, will have to be controlled from a centralized position wielding extreme and unrestricted power in order to gain absolute dominance.   

The United States has been prosecuting aggressive war for approximately 94% of its history. That means both camps are perpetual warmongers, despite party affiliation. Considering Obama, Trump, and Biden, the aggressive wars and support for them has been evident continuously in Syria, Yemen, and Ukraine. Bush’s terror campaign against Iraq and Afghanistan, among many other areas, has also been pursued by all the presidents since. The war rhetoric against China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran is never-ending, as fear is peddled by every president, Congress, and its media. Spending and money printing out of thin air escalates after every election to the tune of trillions, and Trump’s last year saw almost $7 trillion in spending. Liberty destruction, surveillance of the citizenry, control measures, and massive regulation are more rampant in each and every cycle. Trump was the first and main driver of the ‘covid hoax, and Biden continues in his footsteps. Trump heavily pushed and still pushes for the murderous bio-weapon injection referred to as the ‘covid vaccination, and even claims to be the “father of the vaccine.” Biden is doing the same, and continuing to attempt to ramp up fear of fake ‘viruses,’ so as to poison more Americans. U.S. economic destruction was initiated by Trump’s horrendous ‘covid’ response, and continues unabated under Biden. The evil Fauci worked under 7 presidents, including under Trump and Biden, and Deborah Birx was appointed to the so-called ‘Coronavirus Task Force’ by Trump, and only left this year due to personal improprieties. The Cabinet appointments and appointments of corrupt judges of both are absolutely horrendous, as is always the case with current and past presidents. Support of the “Great Reset,” regardless of rhetoric, has been almost without limit, and the ‘climate change’ agendas continue to be pursued aggressively, no matter who is in office.

This is barely touching the surface of all of the similarities among all presidents and most all high-level politicians, whether right, left, or in between, and any differences pale in comparison. This has always been so, but most all in this country continue to support, and in many cases, worship, one or the other side, while the ever-increasing tyrannical behavior only escalates.

The truth is that all politics are corrupt to such an extent as to be vastly criminal. Both sides (all sides) work together against all of us, and do so knowingly. The good cop-bad cop political plot is always in place, but the roles are reversed on a regular basis, so as to be able to continue to deceive the masses into believing that their side is right, when in fact, both sides are evil. The right claims to be one thing, and the left claims to be another, all while seeking to achieve the exact same agenda. The resulting division amongst society keeps all off guard to such an extent as to allow the continued destruction of America with little or no resistance evident.

You have been duped, cheated, lied to, brainwashed, robbed, surveilled, censored, imprisoned, masked, economically destroyed, psychologically tortured, poisoned, and in many cases murdered, so the state can continue its quest for globalization and technocratic control over all. You have allowed your children to be indoctrinated, abused, injected with toxins, taught to question their legitimate biology; to attempt to ‘become’ boys when they are girls, and girls when they are boys. When will you learn to accept the truth, and distrust this wretched and immoral state for what it truly is; a religious cult leading you into the fires of hell?

Don’t be fooled any longer. The war today is a war against all of you; it is the ruling class and governments warring against all the people. It is an intentionally designed global phenomenon that is never-ending, and can only lead to the destruction of most all life on earth. The elections you allow to divide you are the biggest bread and circus of all time, and serve only to divide, and never bring together. If acceptance of these truths become broad-based, progress toward freedom could flourish. Consider the obvious solution, which is for the masses to ignore and never comply with any ruling tyrannical government. Therefore, do not participate in your own demise. If no one votes, no one can be elected, and what a wonderful world that would be.

When you first realize that you are in a SHTF scenario, it can be mind-blowing. You fear for your life and the lives of your family. Even with the best training, survival can be a daunting task.  However, there are things you can do to give yourself the best odds of surviving and protecting your family.  Remember the differences between yourself and everybody else around you, and you will realize that you are already way ahead of the game.  In this article, we will cover the first 60 minutes and the actions you should immediately take to get out alive.

It is important to note that the most important task for your first 60 minutes is always to avoid panic.  Keeping a cool head so often make the difference between life and death.  The human body allows for so many more mistakes with the adrenaline is flowing.  Keep yourself calm, make rational decisions, and keep everybody in your group calm as well.This man can boost any electricity source into 5 times more… instantly and apart from taking the panels out once in a while to charge them… they won’t need any intervention…for a minimum of five years.

Early Warning Signs

I am not saying that you need to become a conspiracy theorist.  However, keeping an eye out for the threats that affect your area is important.  Pay attention to any government or military actions.  Watch for any reports regarding diseases or pandemics.  Pay attention to social unrest or riots in your area.  Look for any weather or seismic warnings.  You may even want to pay attention to the domestic and foreign markets for potential collapse.  These are all warning signs of large-scale disasters that could affect your area.  The point of this strategy is that by staying aware of these concerns, you can find out hours or even days before the general public.  This head start can be huge for your family while everybody else is walking around unaware of the threat.

Have a Plan

Anything you can do in advance to prepare for SHTF scenarios is going to make a huge difference in your ability to survive.  Of course, you cannot prepare for the event after it is already happening.  You must have supplies set aside and have a plan with your family to get to safety.  This plan should be practiced as much as possible so that the whole family knows what to do.  In fact, you should have several different plans depending on the type of emergency and the severity.

Gather your Family

If you have any family or friends as part of your survival plan, you must get everybody together before you can make a move.  You may have both mom and dad at work, kids at school or daycare, or even extended family to gather.  There is no reason that you should not have everybody together within 60 minutes if you have the right plan.  For example, my wife works about 20 minutes from our home and I work from home.  My son is under 15 minutes from our home at daycare, but the distance would add another 15 minutes to my wife’s drive.  Our plan is for me to pick up our son and meet back at our house about 5 minutes after my wife arrives.  Travel time from start to home is roughly 25 minutes for the whole family.  Then we can take further action.

If the majority of your family is more than 30 minutes from your home, you should have a plan to meet at a secondary location.  If I worked downtown roughly 30 minutes north, I would switch our plan to meet at my son’s daycare.  We would then decide if we need to leave one of our vehicles behind to better handle traffic.  You also want to have a location like this in case somebody from your group is cut off by gridlock or a military road block.  All adults need to be prepared to ditch their vehicle and move on foot if needed.

Pick a Plan

Once you gather together, you must quickly make a few vital decisions.  You should be thinking about your options well before you get to your family so that you can have a short conversation.  If you are meeting outside of your home, decide if you need to go home before making a move.  It may be best to take what you have and leave the area immediately.  If you decide to head home, you need to decide if you want to bug in or bug out.  This may be subject to change as you get more information on your way home.  Traffic, weather, phone calls, and radio announcements may all change your plan on a dime.  You may also want to call any family or friends that are not part of your survival plan to warn them about the scenario and get more information.

Execute the Plan

If you plan to bug in, there are a few tasks that should be handled immediately.  Windows and doors should be secured.  Inventory for food, water, ammunition, and other vital products should be checked.  This may include batteries, lighters, medical supplies, and toiletries.  The inventory ensures that you are not surprised when you run out of a certain product.  If you feel it is needed and you think you have time, you can make a fast run to a store to supplement your supplies.  This should only be done if you have no other choice.

If you decide to bug out, get your bug out bags together.  Gather as much food and water as you can comfortably carry.  Grab any weapons you need and prepare to head out.  You may want to board doors and windows to keep damage from looters to a minimum.  You should also hide any valuables that are too bulky to carry with you.  You will need to decide whether to bug out on foot or in a vehicle.  If the roads are clear, the vehicle will help you cover more ground.  However, if the roads are backed up or blocked then you need to be on foot.

In Conclusion

If you have planned in advance, prepared for these scenarios, and taken the right action then 60 minutes is plenty of time.  If we do not have any blocked roads to deal with, there is no doubt in my mind that my family could be bugged in or bugged out within an hour.  In addition, I am confident that I would recognize a SHTF situation well before the average person.  This all adds to our ability to make it through safely.  If you take action, stay calm, and follow these steps then you should come out safely as well.

It seems, to many, the Republican Party, is, currently, undergoing, an apparent – battle, for its soul, in terms of what, it seeks to represent, into the future! The rhetoric, to – date, from many of its present, public leaders, seems to discuss, more, about, enhancing their political influence/ power, etc, than, articulating a program/ plan, related to policy! There appears to be a divide, between, those, who have thrown – in, with former President Trump, and those, who want to go forward, in a different direction. The split, seems, to be, even, greater, between, the rank – and – file, than the politicians! We have seen, reports, of a divide, and potential, split, between the two approaches, etc! In addition, whether, one supports, or opposes, Donald Trump, most agree, he was different, in many ways, from his predecessors (although, some like that, and others, did not)! From, challenging the past election, to the process, to the integrity of the system, etc, as well as the vitriol/ rhetoric, he articulated, and apparent, enabling, of some of the haters, it didn’t seem normal! After, this political defeat/ loss, we must consider, whether Trump will be Trump, or try to reinvent, himself! With, that in mind, this article will attempt to, briefly, consider, examine, review, and discuss, this, and what, the ramifications, might be.

1. Watch, both, his words, and actions: Will the statements, public, and private, made, change, in tone, etc, or remain the same? To do so, it’s important to closely, examine/ watch, both, the words, and actions, and, in this individual’s case, whether, he continues to articulate false – claims, etc, as political fact – checkers, he did, in the past, approximately, 5 years!

2. Will he revert to vitriol, name – calling, blaming and complaining, and encouraging the haters, etc?: Many believe, although, Trump, may not have organized many of these misdeeds, his vitriol, and rhetoric, appear, to enable, and entitle, some of these people! For example, after the insurrection, at the Capitol, many of those, captured, claim, they believe, they were doing, what their President, asked them to do! Will we witness, the continuation of this, or a different tone? Can a leopard, change its spois?

3. Who/ how will he blame and complain?: Many politicians blame and complain about their political opponents, because, unfortunately, the politics, of hate, and anger, seems, to work! We must observe, if he exhibits, any change, in this behavior/ tendency?

4. Personal legal issues: Since, he’s no longer, President, he loses many of the apparent, legal protections, the holder of that office, possesses! There are a variety of legal cases, already, in – place, and, others, being considered, in a variety of states, and regions, and the State of New York, has, already, been granted the access to his tax returns (ordered by Supreme Court). Will he lash – out, claiming, he’s the victim, or, will he act, in a more, normal manner?

5. Will he maintain his political base/ core supporters?: It seems, his core supporters, are, the most loyal, we have witnessed, in recent memory! How will he balance/ align, his political aspirations/ interests, as opposed to, what some, consider, a different direction?

Will Trump, merely, continue, to be, Trump, or try to reinvent/ re – package, himself? Wake up, America, before it’s too late!
